All orders are processed and shipped out of Sydney, Australia within 1-2 business days. Estimated delivery times are from the date your order is fulfilled, not from the date of purchase. Please allow extra time for fulfillment and shipping during peak sale times. All Orders Come With Fully Insured Shipping.

Important International Tax and Customs Duty Information

Parcels are shipped from Australia and international orders may incur import duty. Import duty is a tax imposed by a government on goods from other countries and import duties differ for every country.

Every country has a tax threshold, which is the amount where a person begins paying taxes. Tax and duty may not apply to every international shipment, so it's best to research the tax thresholds of your country before placing your order. An import charge will be calculated when the parcel arrives in the destination country.

A parcel that incurs an import duty is the responsibility of the receiver. The receiver will be contacted to pay the duties the when the parcel arrives to the destination country. This is not a charge from Maria Nicola P/L. Service charges from the courier may also apply.

IMPORTANT - customs may charge on the value of the goods BEFORE discounts. Please be sure to check with your country's import rules and regulations. .

UPDATE for shipping to the US

  • From 29th August 2025, the U.S. is expected to remove the $800 USD tax-free threshold for imports.

This means that all parcels, regardless of value, may now incur import duties/ tariffs.

 Here’s what we know so far:

💖 Orders under $800 USD no longer qualify for duty-free entry.
💖 Our jewellery and SQUARE Kimonos are expected to fall in the 10% tariff bracket.
💖 Short/Long Kimonos, Scarves, and leather accessories sourced from India may face tariffs of 25–50% (final details still pending).

👉 Starting August 29:

  • Express Shipping - DHL courier service. ALL Parcels to the USA will now be sent via DHL with the following charges depending on order size:
    • Orders less than $65 USD = $20 USD shipping charge
    • Orders from $65 - 150 USD = $10 USD shipping charge
    • Orders over $150 USD = FREE Shipping
  • Even if the package is worth $800 or less, it will no longer be duty-free:
    • Ad Valorem duty will apply on these packages.
    • DHL may also charge a processing/brokerage fee of approx $17USD. 
  • Standard Shipping - Australia Post → USPS in the U.S. - SUSPENDED TILL FURTHER NOTICE!

RETURNS

 

We want you to be happy with your Maria Nicola products, so if you are not satisfied, you can return the item/s for a refund or a store credit.

If you have received a faulty item – please contact us at contact@marianicola.com and we will guide you through what to do next.

What you need to know to make a return if you have changed your mind:

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused / unworn and be in original condition and packaging. Clothing needs to have tags on. Returns must be received within 30 days of purchase. Return shipping is at your own cost.

The following items are not able to be returned for change of mind: -

• Earrings

• Sale items (last chance section) / 50% off items

• Beauty products e.g., Lip-gloss

If your items do not meet these criteria, please email contact@marianicola.com for advice. If items are returned outside of 30 days without our consultation, goods will be returned at customer's expense.

How you return your item/s?

1. Check that your item/s meet our criteria: -

What happens next?

Once we receive the return, we assess the items to ensure they meet our return criteria. When they do, we will email you your refund or Store Credit details in the form of a discount code. This store credit can be used on future orders by copying the code to the DISCOUNT CODE box during the checkout process. In the event that a credit code,  Sparkle dollars and currency were used,  credits and sparkle dollars will be refunded first.

Other things you need to know about returning items.

Store credit must be used in one order. Store credit is valid for 24 months. Store credit cannot be used towards shipping. Returns are processed within 14 days of when it is received at our office.
