All parcels are shipped from Australia. International orders are subject to import duties and taxes imposed by your country’s customs authority.
These charges vary by country and are the responsibility of the receiver.
Each destination has its own tax threshold, which determines when duties or taxes apply.
We recommend checking your local import rules before placing an order.
For customers in the U.S., import charges / tariffs are collected at checkout.
New EU customs rules for low-value imports:-
Until now, imported goods in a shipment with an intrinsic value not exceeding €150 could enter the EU without paying import duty under what is known as “de minimis”, an exemption from duty being applied.
From July 1, 2026, this exemption ends. For imported goods in a shipment with an intrinsic value not exceeding €150, a €3 customs duty will be applied per each line of the customs import declaration (which can contain one or more items, depending on the tariff classification).
The VAT rules for imports into the EU remain unchanged (the VAT de minimis exemption was removed in 2021, and all goods imported into the EU are subject to VAT, regardless of value).
At this time shipping to the following countries is only via carrier (DHL for us) as the postal service in these countries are not set up to collect the new charges. Belgium, Finland, Luxemborg, Netherlands, Portugal. We will resume postal services as soon as it becomes available.
Germany, Sweden and Denmark - Import charges are collected at checkout.
For any orders where import charges are not collected during checkout, the courier/postal service will contact you once your parcel arrives in your country to arrange payment of any applicable import fees. For our express service, courier service fees may also apply.
These are not charges from Maria Nicola.
Unpaid duties
For international orders, any duties or taxes are the responsibility of the customer. If these are not paid and the parcel is returned to us, the original shipping and any return fees will be deducted from your refund.
Important Update for U.S. Customers
From 29 August 2025, the U.S. has removed the $800 USD tax-free threshold for imports.
This means all parcels — regardless of value — will now incur import duties and tariffs.
